SUMMARY

The Controls Technician will be the shift technical support for all controls related issues, with the focus on machine reliability. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work diligently and show strong technical and communication skills


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide controls technical support to all Technicians, across all departments, with PLC’s,
HMI’s, Robots, Variable Frequency Drives, AC/DC motors, Servos and I/O
modules.  
  
Ensure immediate maintenance intervention to solve any maintenance issues in the relevant field and follow up actions necessary.
  
Hands on verification that daily preventive maintenance activities are performed correctly
Support all lean (EMS/EPS) plan and activities affecting the relevant maintenance area.
  
Support the facility management for the relevant area
Provide daily shift activities, issues and resolution, emerging issues and concerns reporting.
  
Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with operations, planners and engineering to maximize efficient productivity.
  
Ensure adherence to safety rules and standards and maintain good housekeeping.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

High School Diploma required

Proven past ability to set-up, operate and perform preventative maintenance on fully automated heavy equipment in a high speed manufacturing environment

Excellent communication skills and ability to provide direction of technical and complex issues to non-technical support personnel

Ability to ensure product is built to specification in a quality manner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate tools
and computer at times.  The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. 
The employee is required to stand throughout most of the workday.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
