Our Finance Team in Electrolux Professional in Luton is looking for a Business Controller who will head up the Finance team and act as a business partner to the Leadership team. The new joiner will be responsible for driving financial performance, financial control, and supporting key contracts and tenders.

A typical day at work

You will have a varied and hands on role which will involve providing leadership and coaching to the Finance team, managing month close processes and extensive data mining and analysis. Thanks to your knowledge, you will advise the Management Team and you will have a big impact on present and future decisions in the organisation.  

Your daily activities will contain: 

• Provide sound commercial judgement on pricing, contracts and tenders based on detailed analytical insight.
• Delivery of Budgets, Forecasts and Business Reviews in line with Sector and Group requirements. 
• Delivering of monthly Management pack for local Leadership team and the European Commercial team with insight into performance.
• Provide insight to customer sales and margin analysis to support the local sales teams for key customer reviews and be prepared to support at customer meetings.
• Ensure the delivery of robust month end results with direct hands on responsibility for Sales to Gross Profit 3 (GP3 includes direct product costs, warranty, warehousing and transportation) in line with Group timelines and the Group Accounting manual. This includes responsibility for reconciliation of key P&L and Balance Sheet Accounts.
• Ensure stock count complies with accounting manual and local statutory audit requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring the Delegation of Authorities and the Credit policy is in line with group policies.

• ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified, or equivalent, with at least three years of experience in a commercial role.
• Knowledgeable of all aspects of Finance with a good level of expertise in handling budgets, forecasting and business cases.
• Proven track record in leading people.
• Proficient in Excel and knowledge of Access will be advantageous.
