Consumer Insight Director

We are looking for an outward thinking and passionate Consumer Insight Business partner that will be comfortable utilizing and analyzing various consumer (and business) intelligence sources (syndicated data, market level data, custom consumer research, digital analytics, retailer customer data, and consumer trends) to help influence decisions and action planning for both global and regional strategies that drive brand and growth.

A regular day at work

As our Consumer Insight Director You will be responsible for the overall learning plan for our sector and its business areas in collaboration with Product Marketing and Product Lines contributing together to drive innovation & activation, to make informed business decisions, and to deliver against critical business objectives. 

You will be responsible for serving as the “voice of the consumer” by:
• Managing the overall insight learning plan safeguarding a consumer-centric deployment of the business strategy and ensure delivery of conclusion, recommendations, and actionable insights.
• Being responsible for Consumer Insight methodology and discipline within the sector and in collaboration with the Group Subject Matter Owner and in alignment with the CI Functional team build collaborative partnerships and insights culture establishing business and research learning plans.
• Continue building and elevating the insights toolkit at the brand and corporate levels and driving the Brand health and ROMI (return on marketing investment) tracking analysis in collaboration with Group Functions

Competencies needed:
• Ability to translate data into insights that help to understand consumers’ needs and behavioral drivers
• Strong knowledge of strategic marketing, media, social, audience targeting tools and vendors, including both quantitative tracking and research methodologies
• Deep understanding of the digital landscape
• Strong business, marketing & consumer understanding/interest in what moves consumer decisions
• Capable of executing both quantitative and qualitative projects. Comfortable utilizing and analyzing various business intelligence sources outside consumer related insights (syndicated data, market level data, custom consumer research, digital analytics, retailer customer data, and consumer trends).
• Experience from managing and curating consumer communities
• Understanding of how define larger (above each individual product interaction) consumer experience journeys to define new relevant opportunity areas

Experience & Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics, research and insights function in a multinational environment.
• Consultancy experience is a plus
• Experience in Consumer Insight within our sector and/or FMCG
• Experience in digital and social perspectives and understanding how those can/will benefit/influence business now and in the future 
• Project/program management experience and skills
• Analytical skills
