Cost Analyst

The Cost Analyst reports directly to the Plant Controller and is a critical part of providing the organization with accurate and timely visibility to its financial performance   This position will assist with the monthly close process primarily around reporting and analysis activities.  This individual will be the main individual analyzing variances and preparing a wide range of reports to meet the needs of various internal business partners to drive process and cost optimization. This is a great opportunity for an individual that wants to gain experience and progress within a manufacturing environment.


  • Ensure timely and accurate financial close reporting including, but not limited, to monthly management reporting, product bridges, variances analysis Vs. forecast, AP and Prior Year; etc.
  • Lead forecast and Annual Plan processes by working with each of the manufacturing sites areas to develop planning periods at cost center level and ensure planning is aligned to company short and long-term goals 
  • Actively participate in partnering with different groups to drive and evaluate sound investments decisions
  • Closely monitor and reconcile Construction in Progress account on a monthly basis. Track CIP Vs. approved budgets 
  • Responsible for Fixed Assets Reconciliation, responsible for 100% fixed assets tagging and lead fixed assets physical inventory at least once every three years
  • Partner with the rest of the organization to identify ACE projects and ensure accurate projects reporting

Minimum Qualification

  • B.S. Accounting preferred; B.S. Finance 
  • Masters degree, CPA and/or CMA designation is viewed favorably 
  • Prior Financial Analysis experience preferred but not required
  • Not More than 3 years of Cost Accounting, General Accounting or Financial Analysis required
