The Financial Business Analyst position has overall responsibility and accountability for working with various members of the Sales Organization to help understand and communicate the financial position.  The Financial Business Analyst position is the critical link between the sales, marketing, and product line operations groups and provides valuable insight on a daily basis to the financial performance through its analysis and reporting.  The Financial Business Analyst position will report in through the Commercial Finance group but take day-to-day direction from the assigned Sales Leader(s) and will funnel information through the finance organization to the Channel organizations, ensuring one consistent approach/method is used across the Sector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for creating various types of Month End analytics and providing to Channel Analysts to assist in the Monthly Financial Close
  • Complete the month-end Accounting Reconciliations for various Sales Channels and provide to GP1 Accountant
  • Responsible for updating and analyzing Actuals at Month End for various Channels
  • Prepare and process the Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Volume Rebate payments for the Dealer Channel
  • Responsible for managing and updating the Damage/Merchandise claims and Program Registers for various Sales Channels
  • Responsible for all PO Creation and Payment processing to include Sales Channel Claims, 360
  • Incentive Rebates, Spiff Payments, Citibank partnership, and the ACB partnership
  • Assist with various ad hoc analysis including customer profitability and trend analysis

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
  • Minimum 2 years of business or financial analytics experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experience supporting a sales function a plus
  • Financial analysis experience 
  • Sales trend analysis preferred
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
