In our development and factory site in Rothenburg o. d. Tauber, a team of more than 1000 colleagues covers manufacturing of high-end ovens and cooktops and all engineering fields in R&D, quality, industrial engineering and automation. Around 20 nationalities work together in a highly modern, creative and diverse environment.

Global Layout & Simulation Engineer, Rothenburg ob der Tauber

You will join the Global Manufacturing Engineering team for Electrolux Food Preparation and are responsible for creating Automated and Manual Assembly Stations, Equipment and Plant Layout within Siemens Tecnomatix Portfolio. 

A regular day at work
You drive the common design of assembly lines for Food Preparation Development and prepare optimized line layouts. You also develop a standard workplace toolbox catalog in 3D and create parametrized work and automation stations for standard applications. You are the subject matter expert in Global Manufacturing in new projects for layout creation as well as provide support for R&D in development projects and updates.

Qualification & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Robotic Engineering and/or equivalent (e.g. Technikerausbildung Maschinenbau) with relevant work experience
• 3D CAD (NX Siemens, CATIA) and 2D CAD (AUTO CAD) 
• Teamcenter knowledge 
• Process Simulate (Siemens), SIM Pro (KUKA) or Robot Studio (ABB) 
• Production Engineering and Process know-how capabilities of automated assembly equipment
• Ergonomic regulations, Time and Methods / MTM
• Strong knowledge of MS Office programs 
• Fluent German and good English language skills
