We are now looking for an engaging, result driven and experienced leader to join our IP Legal department, one of six legal departments in Group Legal Affairs.

IP Legal has a core role in the development, use and protection of intellectual property rights for the Electrolux Group. The team strives to be true business partners and they work closely with all parts of the Electrolux organization that develops, uses and protects the Group’s intellectual property across the world, including the patent department. By understanding the operations and business drivers, IP Legal take an active part in achieving the business objectives. It is a global function with a specialist role that sees intellectual property as an important tool to enhance shareholder value. 


As Head of IP Legal, you will lead and develop the team members as well as the department’s general capabilities and role within Electrolux. As intellectual property is a strategic asset, you will be given the opportunity to work with all parts of our global organization that develops, uses and protects intellectual property. As the business is global and under constant change, there will be significant opportunity to influence and drive change. 

In the role, you lead a legal team of 10 employees, you report to our Group General Councel and are part of the Legal Executive Team. The role is based in Electrolux global HQ in Stockholm, Sweden. 


• To manage the IP Legal department and to coordinate the provision of intellectual property related legal support, including trademark related law in the Group.
• To manage and coordinate complex intellectual property related projects in a vast array of countries and jurisdictions.
• To recommend proactive measures to ensure that business opportunities are not lost.
• To recommend preventive and corrective actions to hinder or minimize financial and other losses to the Group.
• To supervise and handle intellectual property related litigation.
• To carry out special project assignments given by the General Counsel from time to time. 
• Coach, motivate and develop the team 


You are a well experienced leader within the area of intellectual property law. You have worked in an international environment towards multi functional teams and successfully led projects within the field. We believe you have a minimum 8 years of working experience in the area and developing a team of direct reports. You have long experience and very good understanding of patent, trademark and other intellectual property related matters. 

We believe you have a pragmatic business approach and are highly adaptable to change. Furthermore, you like to collaborate and network. You understand the value of mixing ideas and perspectives to get the best solutions. You have ambition and drive and want to drive change and make sure to exceed targets. You like to lead and coach to make sure that your team perform and develops. You communicate well on all levels in an organisation and you will work with complex legal matters and situations with the need to be described in simple terms for non-lawers. 

You have a Law degree from at least one jurisdiction. You have to be fluent in English.
At times, extensive travelling may be required.
