The job of the Inventory Analyst is to keep the local inventory in the assigned areas accurate and to conduct inventory transaction analysis for identifying variances and process gaps to management.  The position will be responsible for leading continuous improvement projects and managing a cycle count team.  The position will serve as a member of the Material Review Board for the management of excess and obsolete inventory.  The operation has over 5,400 active materials that require an individual who is proficient in data mining large data sets and problem-solving.  The ideal candidate would have experience auditing and implementing process changes in a manufacturing environment.  Position reports to plant controller. 


  • Responsible for overseeing the cycle count team during physical inventories /cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations
  • Document and implement inventory procedures. 
  • Must have experience with material flow processes which include a complex bill of materials comprised of purchased and manufactured components
  • Ensure cycle count team carries out their daily tasks in a professional and timely manner
  • Generate daily cycle counts from the JDE cycle count program or as requested by management
  • Review and approve cycle counts in JDE when cycle count team completes assign count events
  • Run variance report, research variances and make corrections daily
  • Root cause analysis must be performed for inventory variances
  • Employee will be trained in the Electrolux EMS system and will be expected to utilize EMS tools for problem-solving, KPI reporting, and team management
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis on inventory variances and prepare corrective action reports for tracking / follow up
  • Perform inventory analytics regarding inventory variances with regards to receiving, transfers, consumption, scrap, and BOM usage variances
  • Compile reports as requested by management
  • Member of the Material Review Board team for the disposition of excess and obsolete inventory
  • Track and report non-conforming product
  • Develop good internal and external relationships
  • Ensure excellent communication channels between employees and management
  • Must be able to use JDE, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office (Excel and Access – Advanced Skill Level)
  • Must be able to present cycle count results / corrective actions in a weekly meeting with plant leadership

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or Management preferred, with a focus on Supply Chain
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Finance, Logistics, or other related fields applicable to job description
  • Prior manufacturing and/or warehousing experience preferred


  • AS400 and JD Edwards experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in data mining large sets of data utilizing Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience preparing and presenting management reports to senior leadership
  • Experience in a complex manufacturing environment with multiple stages of production including final assembly
  • Material flow process design experience
