Manage Laboratory within Global R&D

We are looking for a Laboratory Manager to join our Fabric Care and Dish Global R&D department in order to lead a strong lab team and take responsibility for designing cleaning and drying cycles.

Your typical day of work 

Your objectives will be to lead the team of laboratory leaders. This means that on the daily basis you will face the challenge of coordinating and motivating a group of team members ensuring the right level of education and skills. You will also be cooperating with internal network of global and regional laboratories and an external common network of recognized laboratories. The bottom line of all activities will be to ensure the Laboratory performs highly in its vital role within the organisation.  

Your focus will be to: 

• Develop the product functionalities considering international standard and legislation keeping a strong focus on consumer insight 
• Develop the cycle software and the relative life management
• Verify the mechanical performance in terms of noise, vibrations, hydraulics, etc.
as well as assessing the reliability of the appliances in terms of system validation and short/long reliability
• Support Laboratory Technical Office in planning activities 
• Create a regional laboratories network and external testing institute relationship
• Guarantee the innovative approach and continuous improvements

Education & experience:

• Electrical / Electronic/ Mechanic/Chemical/Hydraulic master degree or similar experience (5 years)
• International experience on projects management
• Statistical methods and design of experiment (DOE) knowledge
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment, data acquisitions system, testing procedures and evaluations of results
• Familiarity with international standards
• Background in washing, cleaning and drying technologies, detergents and materials would be a plus
• Experience in project and resources planning
