The Robotic and Simulation Engineer will join the Manufacturing Engineering team for Electrolux Food Preparation. The Engineer is responsible for creating Automated / Manual Assembly Stations using Siemens Tecnomatix Portfolio. They will also provide simulations to verify concept, layout, cost and capex.  This position will also provide business case analysis support for automated assembly equipment and drive the digital modeling of our automated operations.


  • Support implementation of digital process designs and process simulations that are focused on time
    methods and line balancing, robotic simulation and human simulation
  • Define in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineers the assembly sequence and verify
    feasibility (DFMAA)
  • Define the Robotics and Human operation in the 3D environment (Process Simulate, Siemens)
  • Simulate Robot moves to verify cycle time, reachability and feasibility
  • Simulate human moves to verify ergonomics, human safety, cycle time, line balancing
  • Compare, align and improve Simulation results with existing data
  • Ensure compliance with safety and ergonomic regulations on new layout for workstations 
  • Supporting the standardization of common processes and automation solutions across multiple manufacturing locations
  • Planning and optimization of new automation systems and equipment. (Modular Automation)
  • Robot simulation, assembly sequence breakup, cycle time calculation
  • Development and creation of a standard workplace tool box catalog in 3D / Line Designer
  • Create work and automation stations for standard applications in 3D in Line Designer

Minimum Qualification

  • 1+ year experience working in a manufacturing environment (Co-Op & Intern experience qualifies)
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree
  • Strong computer skills particularly Microsoft Office applications and CAD (2D, 3D)
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in Problem Solving, Waste Elimination, Continuous
    Improvement and OEE improvement
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing


  • Excellent verbal and written communications

  • 3D CAD (NX Siemens, CATIA) and 2D CAD (AUTO CAD)
  • Process Simulate (Siemens), SIM Pro (KUKA) or Robot Studio (ABB)
  • Ergonomic regulations, Time and Methods
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design concepts and practices
  • Problem solving skills and proven ability to solve complex technical issues
