Consumables Controller, has overall financial responsibility and accountability for the business unit.  Controller will serve as a credible, knowledgeable and trusted resource to the Senior Director for the business unit and SVP Ownership Solutions.   He/she is expected to actively engage with and support the Directors and extended team in execution of the business strategy and attainment of financial goals for the business unit.  Controller will provide sound financial leadership through data driven business insight, collaborative working relationships, and proven business acumen.


  • Ensure financial plans are consistent with organizational short to mid-term goals and long term strategy
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and influence decision making
  • Contribute effectively to team efforts
  • Develop strong working relationships with business partners, peers, sector management, and global support staff

Monitor & Manage Day to Day Financial Activities

  • Apply Continuous Improvement focused approach (Plan, Do, Check, Act Cycle)
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions
  • Establish and monitor metrics for assessing business unit’s performance relative to strategic objectives and goals
  • Achieve objectives by analyzing and understanding variances and initiating corrective actions
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls to protect and efficiently manage assets
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures
  • Support cost out initiatives with analysis and recommendations
  • Develop price strategies for products and channels and control process for execution

Management Reporting and KPIs

  • Provide status of financial condition and implications of ongoing business decisions by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data
  • Prepare and publish accurate and timely periodic financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards
  • Create special reports as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsBudget & Forecasting
  • Develop budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans
  • Produce monthly forecasts and weekly Risk & Opportunity updates
  • Prepare Pro-formas and What If scenario analysis Product Development, Project Controlling & Investment Management
  • Lead and ensure successful completion of all financial deliverables pertaining to product development and project controlling work streams
  • Evaluate (ROI, Payback Period, IRR, NPV) and prioritize capital projects; allocate and manage resources
  • Prepare Investment Requests and required follow ups


  • Manage and execute special projects
  • Additional Controller responsibilities as necessary

Minimum Qualification

  • BA in Finance or related field of study required; MBA a plus
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting/financial analysis experience required, including minimum 2 years of leadership experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred
  • Prior Financial Controller and Project Management experience a plus
