The Senior Director Digital Industrial Operations will create and drive the digital industrial operations strategic framework for manufacturing and supply chain. He/she will be responsible for creating the strategic digital operations roadmap to ensure that industrial operations capabilities are built in accordance with customer, consumer and business priorities. The position will be expected to lead both the development, as well as the tactical execution, of digital strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop North American digital strategies and priorities for Industrial operations by harmonizing software, hardware, and technologies
  • Lead cross-functional analysis of current operational processes and identify capabilities needed in order to meet future state manufacturing deliverables and customer service levels
  • Support and align with the Global Digital Business, Global Industrial Operations and Regional teams on strategic priorities, operational readiness, project design and process improvement deployment
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for all manufacturing and supply chain digital programs and projects
  • Implement Business Analytics and Business Intelligence using real-time and near real-time data collection strategies
  • Identify digital applications creating value-add for industrial operations including reduced costs and improved service
  • Support the development and implementation of industrial operations technology including, but not limited to: Integrated Business Planning, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Enterprise Systems (SAP), Final Mile process management, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Labor Management Systems (LMS), Predictive Analytics, etc.
  • Support 3D and 2D simulation projects in alignment with Sector and Product Line ME teams 
  • Partner with Sector IT organization to ensure alignment of activities and resource allocation with strategic priorities 
  • Responsible for managing Manufacturing and Supply Chain Digital Directors along with Sector industrial operations IT resources
     

Minimum Qualification

  • Undergraduate degree required; Master Degree in Engineering or Operations/Business Management preferred
  • 7+ years progressive experience leading Digital Industrial Operations in a manufacturing, distribution and/or transportation environment
  • Experience developing and driving digital strategies within an industrial operations environment
  • Proven and effective cross-functional project management expertise; certification preferred
  • Strong presentation skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including development and delivery of presentations to senior level management
