Understand and react to all aspects of repairs and maintenance of plastic injection molds. Provide customer service and support from Toolroom to Production Department. Multitasking various schedules, and confirming goals and tasks are completed in a timely manner. 


  • Work, practice and teach technicians in safe manner.
  • Coordinate with Production Manager and Production Supervisors for scheduling of work priorities such as Tool repair and Preventive maintenance of molds in-house and out.
  • Able to multitask many meetings, projects related to tooling conditions.
  • Maintain updated inventories of all shipped and receiving molds in-house and out.
  • Teach and lead Tool room technicians and leaders in the practices of safe machining practices.
  • Must be able to read and interpret 3D and print drawings.
  • Responsible for quoting, sending, tracking lead time, cost, and issuing P.O’s to various Tool shops.
  • Responsible for attainment of operational, quality and functional goals as defined by the plant management, including execution of ISO 9001 and 14001standards and EMS tools.
  • Responsible to realize an efficient multitask jobs and get the plant goals:
  • Responsible to comply the Preventive Maintenance, higher o equal to 90%
  • Responsible to maintain the tools with a cavitation of  95%
  • The activities to be carried out include the following environmental information, indicated but not limited to:
    • Knowledge and understanding of the environmental policy of the plant, which must follow and promote, including established environmental goals as well as knowledge and identification of environmental aspects and impacts of activities in its area or process, the approach to continuous improvement , maintaining the required operational controls, proper handling, identification and segregation of chemical materials and waste.

Minimum Qualification

  • Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Previous Experience 5 Supervising Toolroom personnel, exp. with Injection molding machines, knowledgeable in hot runner systems and electrical, must know machining fabrication techniques. 


  • Must know use and purpose of machinery such as mills, grinders, and lathes.
  • Must understand and implement EMS and 5S programs. 
  • Must be able to know and operate Microsoft software – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Must have understanding of Tool steel properties for Injection molds replacement cores and repairs. 
  • Must have experience purchasing Toolroom equipment, documenting machine assets tags, repairs and cost logs.
  • Manage a monthly budget to EHP standards.
  • Develop continuous improvement programs.  
  • Monitor all Min-Max inventories. Deal with various vendors pertaining to services related to Tooling
