Summary
  
The Cycle Counter Team Leader will play a critical role in implementing and monitoring procedures to ensure that the proper inventory and controls are in all warehouse locations. The individual will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas
related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. The individual will also lead the cycle count program to identify and eliminate any problems found in daily cycle counts while assisting the branch warehouse with their inventory control procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop implement and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure accuracy and timeliness.

Manage the cycle count program in a perpetual inventory environment

Manage the cycle count program progress and results to identify necessary recounts and processes to be monitored and provide regular reports on results

Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available
resources to identify root causes and recommend solutions

Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational
procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels

Manage the efforts of the cycle counts in an effort to identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level needed

Maintains accurate inventory reports and responsible for preparing weekly and monthly reports

Performs monthly consignments, deviations and adjustments as required

Manages Bulk inventory and Physical Inventory Processes

Will perform others duties as requested, directed or assigned


Minimum Qualifications

•Associate’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience (Preferred Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Accounting)

•At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in distribution or warehouse environment with a focus on inventory management

•Previous experience utilizing lean manufacturing tools and techniques preferred

•MRP/ERP experience required, JD Edwards or SAP a plus

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build personal and team based relationships with all levels of team members

Results driven individual with a continuous improvement approach

Effective oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated mathematical knowledge

Demonstrated typing and data entry skills

Ability to interpret computer printouts and parts list

Ability and willingness to work any shift and also extended hours to meet business needs

Proficient in Microsoft business applications
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Knowledge of timekeeping system required, Kronos Workforce Central Timekeeping System preferred
