Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsible and accountable for processing various types of accounts payable transactions, including Evaluated Receipt Settlements, EDI, Drop Shipment and Consignment invoice processing; electronic and manual payment processing; month end closing reports and reconciliations as well as various ad hoc projects. Work is performed under the direction of the Supervisor, Accounts Payable. 


  • Support North American Business Units
  • Assist suppliers in escalated requests and statement reconciliations
  • Ensure management and adherence to Delegation of Authority
  • Provide reporting to all Stakeholders that will assist in improving the payables process
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers

Minimum Qualification


  • B.S. Degree, preferably in a business-related field
  • Accounts Payable experience preferred; preferably in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of A/P Policies and practices


  • Strong analytical, problem solving and reconciliation skills
  • Effective communicator with proven success at all levels of business communication
  • Strong understanding of business processes and ability to document as needed
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-starter who is motivated, flexible and works well in a team and multi-functional environment
  • Ability to perform robust business process analysis, recommend and execute solutions
  • Knowledge of appropriate internal control practices and experience maintaining and improving such controls
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and timelines and adjust project and tasks accordingly
  • Operates with the highest level of integrity
  • Builds trust and follows through on commitments and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • SAP experience preferred
