We are looking for an Innovation Engineer for our Advanced Development Hobs Food Preparation Team, based in Rothenburg O.d.T.

The Advanced Development Team is part of the Global R&D Food Preparation organization. Our role is to develop advanced technical solutions for Hobs, Ovens and Hoods. We have teams based in Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Germany), Forlì (Italy) and Hangzhou (China).

Our ideal candidate is an Electronic Engineer, passioned for innovation. He/She will support and boost our activities thanks to his/her skills and experience. He/She will have the key responsibility to support the AD Project Leaders on the ongoing Projects on Induction Hobs and additionally he/she will take the leadership on one or more relevant activities.


• Analyze the details of the assigned activities to propose affordable solutions, in terms of technical complexity, cost, intellectual property profile and consumer experience
• Design and execute prototypes, including but not limited to mechanics, electronics and software development
• Design and execute test sessions on prototypes and on induction hobs in general
• Perform benchmarking activities of selected products from the Competition
• Prepare Technical reports about testing, benchmarking and prototyping activities
• Search for new innovations and transfer them into consumer beneficial product solutions
• Present and promote innovations and solutions in global organizations
• Participate in International team meetings
• Closely cooperate with the AD team members and with the relevant stakeholders from the other Functions
• Focus on Intellectual Property scenarios of the assigned activities, analyzing the background of the Competitors and filing new Invention Disclosures


• Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar 
• Minimum 2 years of experience as skilled technician, ideally coming from a multinational Company and multicultural environment 
• Knowledge of:
• Electronics Hardware design and development, preferably knowledge of PCB design with microcontrollers (NXP, Renesas, ST) and related firmware development
• power induction heating electronics
• testing equipment and methods of electrical/electronic appliances
• electronic CAD tools (preferably OrCAD)
• C/C++ SDK
• Labview
• project planning tools
• quality tools (such as FMEA)
• Fluent English, German is a good to have
• Willing to travel
