SUMMARY:

  • Plan, design, develop, automate, justify, maintain and implement manufacturing process and equipment

KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development new equipment and Automated Process 
  • Automation projects Management
  • Development new technologies and suppliers
  • Cost justification and accountability
  • Process and equipment specification
  • Process and equipment, procurement and implementation
  • Train and assist equipment operators, maintenance technicians in areas of responsibility
  • Troubleshoot and analyze process and equipment performance for improved quality, uptime and OEE
  • Automate existing manufacturing equipment
  • Material handling
  • Plant layout
  • Product, cost and quality
  • Environmental compliance (Energy consumption)
  • Safety
  • Expertise in simulation software
  • Expertise in automation process
  • Knowledge of manufacturing labor maps
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
  • Strong knowledge in Automation and multicultural experience correlated,
  • Strong presentation skills,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the development and delivery of presentations to C-Levels,
  • Self-motivated, hands-on leader with a willingness to deliver tactical execution of strategy to deliver results,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Experience working in manufacturing automation,
  • Previous experience developing strategic direction and leading/implementing automation projects,
  • A passion for connecting data and making business conclusions and recommendations,
  • Proven ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment,
  • Quick thinker with the ability to pick up and treat new information rapidly,
  • Ability to work independently structure team activities in order to produce results

Minimum Qualification

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Required BS degree in Mechanical, Electronic Automation or Mechatronics Engineering;
  • Hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical experience are desirable;
  • Project Management, Automation or Manufacturing Management Specialization

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Business orientation, strategic thinking, leadership, decision making, project leadership, engineering and automation specific skills

  • NA Global Manufacturing Engineering Director
  • Competencies needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands on to perform engineering functions around automation manufacturing equipment and process.
