Business Controller 

We are currently looking to hire a Business Controller whose primary function to support Country Sales Head/General Manager for the Czech Republic and Slovakia and to achieve short and long-term financial goals for the specific area. Her/his main area of responsibility is the Czech Republic and on top, she/he is a “spoke person” of Czech/Slovak controlling community. Location of work in Prague, Czech Republic.

The Business Controller is also in charge of ensuring control and compliance with company standards and policies. The position will be in charge of measuring the economic performance of the Sales Business Unit. 

Business Controller acts as a partner to local GM but reports operationally to Controlling function.

Main duties include:
• Margins and volumes analysis consolidating and analyzing results for the Management
• Analyzing financial performances, proposing and implementing actions to support strategy
• Ensuring control and compliance with Company standards 
• Improving payback analysis from a financial point of view on all business decisions
• Ensuring effective management of working capital 
• Analyzing business operations, contractual commitments and follow up projects from a financial point of view 
• Preparing a budget with the local team and central management and follow up the evolution of actual results compared to budgeted targets 
• Credit limit evaluation in order to guarantee proper authorization at a local and central level according to Company Credit policy 
• Responsible for reporting according to Company requirements and for guaranteeing compliance of Business processes also for statutory/tax regulations
• Analyzing reporting to highlight the main deviations compared to previous year and budget plans and ensure proper business reporting to follow up the actions defined 
• Leading and coaching the small team of finance professionals

You have:
• Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent
• Min. 5 years of experience in controlling in international environment or equivalent
• Accounting and reporting background is highly preferable
• Audit background is an asset
• Solid understanding of financial processes, P&L, balance sheet and local accounting (GAAP) as well as IFRS 
• Advanced level of excel knowledge is required, quick & well adaptable to new software is expected
• Knowledge and experience working with SAP
• Solid understanding of accounting principles for financial analysis purposes
• Excellent understanding of local tax and legal regulations
• Strong leadership capabilities incl. people leadership skills & experience
• Business and commercial minded and operative approach
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English & Czech
