Global Product Line Purchasing & the role:

Within the Global Purchasing Organization, Global Product Line Purchasing Architecture has the key responsibility of developing global modules based on standardization and awarding new businesses, in close collaboration with the Global Categories.

Our mission is to ensure the award of businesses to the best suppliers through global module project negotiations, using advanced tools as refined cost models , VBS, Supplier Development methodologies, etc… fulfilling the targets of cost, quality and flexibility.

We operate in all the regions (Business Areas) with a panel of international suppliers engaging them with our internal business partners as: Sales, Global Architecture R&D, Quality, Global Architecture Manufacturing, Product Line, Marketing, Finance etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Global Product Line Purchasing Architecture Manager is responsible for:

Global Module Project Management

  • Represent Purchasing on the Global Architecture Team and own all related module project deliverables
  • Develop modular concepts that could be applied in any factory of the group
  • Attend global architecture project review meetings and communicate relevant information within Purchasing
  • Participate and prepare for global architecture project checkpoints, ensuring all deliverables are achieved on time and able to lead multiple continuous improvement projects simultaneously
  • Track the module project progress, sourcing status, and other relevant information through a data-driven sourcing tool
  • Report Purchasing progress to the global architecture project team and Purchasing Leadership
  • Involve internal stakeholders (Global Architecture R&D, Global Architecture Manufac., SD, Q, Design,…) at early stage on VBS activities, aiming to create value through effective innovation with strategic suppliers.
  • Acting as Purchasing representative to the global module project, coordinate between Global Architecture Team and
  • Category Management Team, delivering quality, schedule, and cost targets, as well as milestones, deliverables, and required tasks to achieve module project requirements
  • Ensure a coordinated VBS approach cross categories.

PURCHASING & SOURCING:

  • Work with the Category Management team to understand and deploy category strategy within global module project
  • Support and coordinate RFQ’s, in cooperation with Category Management team
  • Support and coordinate negotiations and supplier business awards, in cooperation with Category Management team
  • Support preparations for Sourcing Board, in cooperation with Category Management team
  • Participate in Make vs Buy analysis to optimize product and operation costs
  • Support and coordinate supplier tooling quoting and ordering, in cooperation with Category Management team
  • Fulfill global architecture project milestone deliverables, including checkpoint deliverables
  • Support and coordinate cost modeling and estimating, in cooperation with Category Management team
  • Support and coordinate Value Based Sourcing, in cooperation with Category Management team, including Early Supply
  • Involvement and Category Workshops
  • Act as escalation point for cross function team interactions with suppliers
  • Support and coordinate supplier capacity and utilization reviews, in cooperation with Category Management team
  • Facilitate supplier-led innovation and coordinate with key internal stakeholders

REPORTING TO:

  • Global Purchasing Architecture Director

Minimum Qualification

EDUCATION:

  • University degree (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer, Econimics or Project Management background is an asset)

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing or project management and the following skills:
  • The ability to execute strategic initiatives that drive performance and have experience leading complex projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with diverse individuals in cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
  • Cost Modeling, Data Mining and have possess advanced Excel skills with the ability to generate effective reports that manage large data sets.
  • Expectant, positive, proactive attitude and ‘can do’ spirit to drive change and can demonstrate a history of driving for higher business performance in a fast paced environment
  • Capable of setting priorities, meeting deadlines with strong initiative and decision making, problem solving and analytical skills, with attention to details and accuracy
  • Exceptionally strong work ethic, high integrity, judgement and transparency and you inspire the same in others.
  • Some travel may be required; up to 30%

LANGUAGES:

  • Fluent in English, any other language is an asset.
