Location & Travel:
The position is based at the Risk & Compliance Development (Product Safety Laboratory) in Porcia, Italy, only 1 hour distance from Venice. Travel to other Electrolux R&D and production locations in Europe will be a regular requirement in future once national and international travel can resume. 

Standardization work, where appropriate with national organisations and with European trade bodies in Brussels and throughout Europe. Although laboratory / office based, flexible working from home is encouraged. Extensive travel requirements mean that any candidate must hold a European / International driving licence.

An opportunity to join the European Risk & Compliance Development Organisation working across multiple Product Lines and with Central Functional Teams. The chance to have a significant and lasting impact on a core function of Electrolux, with exposure to multiple departments and critical decision-making individuals and processes. 
• Management & development of Chemical and Material compliance requirements within BA Europe. 
• Non-Compliance investigation and resolution management with internal and external stakeholders. 
• Operational ownership of ECO@web database working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data and documentation presence. 
• Generate technical and management reports on Chemical and Material compliance statistics.  
• Lead chemical and material phase out project teams to remove increasing numbers of restricted substances from Electrolux products and components. 
• Developing Electrolux technical capabilities and competencies covering Chemical & Material compliance issues. 
• Developing Electrolux service sustainability project to further reduce the CO2 footprint of Electrolux products, spare parts and service provision. Including the supervision of one Electrolux intern assisting in with this project.

• Technical skills in at least one off: Chemical Engineering or Material Science. 
• Detailed and extensive understanding of European Chemical and/o Materials compliance legislation and standards.
• Existing or potential for project management / leadership skills and an understanding of product compliance and standards frameworks in Europe.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English. Good presentation skills, as we provide extensive training to the Global organisation.
• IT skills, specifically Excel, and any relevant database experience.
• Languages: English essential, plus any other European languages to a technical level are an advantage.
