You will be based in St. Petersburg, Russia. You will work in a modern and comfortable office with a parking lot, fitness center with a swimming pool available in our business center. You will be offered flexible working time (8 hours on weekdays starting at 9 am-11 am., competitive salary, and reimbursement of lunches.

As a Cloud Test Automation Developer you will join the St. Petersburg part of the global Software Quality Assurance team within our international department. You will take control of the testing effort, design strategy and plan functional testing, test execution, develop test automation, incorporate continuous testing and be accountable for the testing competency focused on the Cloud backend part of the aforesaid ecosystem. You will work closely with in-house and distributed SQA, DEV, DevOps teams as a key contributor and a mentor for colleagues in the IoT Backend Test Automation topic covering Java microservices and other modern things you are mastering and would like to learn more. 

Your main tasks:
• Assess current development setup, craft, and design a test strategy, implement it
• Develop test plans
• Write test scenarios for existing and new functionality to ensure test coverage and application stability/quality
• Develop regression suites and automation scenarios, move automation to an agile continuous testing model
• Execute tests, run automation, provide test results in clear and detailed reports
• Log and manage defects until completion
• Optimize testing for effectiveness and efficiency
• Communicate testing expectations, assignments and responsibilities clearly and professionally to cross-functional project members and appropriate upper management
• Find and evaluate new opportunities for additional testing and automation within the portfolio
• Contribute in cross-functional efforts on root cause analysis

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering / Computer science / Information technology
• 3 years of work experience as a Software developer or Test automation engineer
• QA expertise (QA processes, test planning, test execution, test automation, quality metrics and reporting)
• Ability to evaluate requirements/stories then develop test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with planning and executing end-to-end testing and microservice architecture
• Understanding main SOAP and REST concepts, API testing traits
• Experience with SQL, Java (Spring framework), test automation tools and frameworks (Postman, SoapUI, Selenium, JMeter, Gatling)
• Knowledge of reporting, monitoring, CI tools (Allure, Grafana, Prometheus, Jenkins, TeamCity)
• Ability to set up QA flow, choose the most suitable instruments and integrate QA flow into the CI/CD process by your own
• Understanding Agile principles; knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket will be a plus
• Knowledge of Kafka broker and MQTT protocol will be a plus
