You will be based in Porcia, only 1 hour distance from Venice, joining the R&D Global Technology Organisation in Porcia – the team of highly qualified engineers supporting development of new platforms and services globally and across categories.

As a Connectivity Engineer, you will be joining the Global Connectivity & Technology team in Porcia (Italy). We are a team of highly qualified engineers with solid industrial competencies supporting the development of new platforms and services globally and across categories.

Your role is to design firmware for innovative embedded systems for connected consumer appliances with significant security requirements. You will be assigned to develop new products/modules/systems and improve current technologies and methods.

If you are passionate about innovation, possess good C programming skills and enjoy a dynamic, international environment, join us and strengthen our Team, which on an everyday basis supports IoT ecosystems in different topics and different technologies (appliance FW, connectivity technologies enabling, IoT communication protocols, cloud services for user registration, device enrollment and OTA update,…).

·  Support development of software for embedded based systems, mainly for IoT (Internet of Things).
·  Debug and test.
·  Take care of documentation.

Qualifications /experience:
Master or Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
·  Experience as a software developer.
·  Experience as a firmware developer: it is a plus.
·  Experience within open-source projects, personal interests, and new tools like Jenkins, Git, Jira (it is a plus).
·  Experience in projects interacting with mobile apps: it is a plus.
·  Familiarity with new WoW (Way of Working): agile, continuous improvement.  
·  Knowledge in C/C++/Java language programming.
·  Knowledge in networking environments.
·  Knowledge and experience on computer networks, internetworking and TCP/IP protocols: it is a plus.
·  Knowledge in cyber security: it is a plus.
·  Solid English is considered mandatory

·  Willing to keep technical background always up-to-date, committed to technical excellence.
·  Team oriented. 
·  Willing to travel and to stay on different Electrolux sites when required.
·  Good communication skills.
