Connectivity System Engineer – Cerreto D’Esi, Italy

Drive innovation on connectivity and electronic system, and will integrate and maintain  this technology module/area for cooker-hoods category. Moreover you will drive projects of products related to connectivity and electronic modules.

Key Responsibilities

Support and drive projects from project definition to the approval of series production, focusing on schedule, cost and quality.
Lead project teams and coordinates modules projects planning and execution cooperating  with cross-functional teams and related project leaders.
Control project/product costs and investments and create investment requests.
Report in Check Point meetings/steering team meetings.
Ensure that new products/projects fit into the platform and subsystem structure.
Drives and Coordinates Analysis of technical solutions with technology teams, suppliers, factory and other involved functions; ensure system-manufacturability including testing
Reference contact for connectivity and electronics with project stakeholders and suppliers for the running projects.
Define input for Bill of Material and connected system mapping.
Use development/quality tools like FMEA´s, project-planning tools etc.
Support and drive module components and product specs definition.
Drive and Plan System Testing and System Verification project phases.
Support user manual creation. 
Identify and promote proper development processes and workflows for new not explored areas in the Connectivity area.
Organize and follow-up of all activities of related module/area
Define cost reduction opportunities on concept level
Quality improvement
Cross platform utilization & complexity reduction
Release system-technical specifications 
Support development of component-specifications
Ensure compliance of system with both internal and external safety and environmental standards
Create and maintain component toolbox for the system
Development of a technical generation plan for the system
Support part and component approval
Lead system approval
Overview and maintenance of relevant IP, also from competitors
Support benchmark activities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor/Master Degree in Electronic/IT Engineering or equivalent,  with min 3 years of experience in project management
• Strong structured and engineering approach during each development phase.
  – Knowledge of the main sw and hw development, manufacturing and testing methodologies. 
  – Knowledge of approval and environmental rules in different countries.
  – Knowledge of  quality tools (FMEA´s, 6 Sigma...).
• Experience in crossfunctional project working (with purchasing, process engineering, etc.).
Strong knowledge in IoT solutions and mobile App SW development
• Strong knowledge in electronic development (HW&SW)
• Knowledge of the main manufacturing processes and assembling of electronic components
Strong troubleshooting skills on IoT ecosystems 
• Knowledge of UML and UML design tools (enterprise architect preferred) is appreciated
• Knowledge of house appliances/cooker hoods is a appreciated
• Proficient English level.
• Availability to travel.
