Continuous Improvement at Electrolux is one of our top strategic drivers in order to deliver outstanding and continuously improved customer & consumer experiences with a competitive cost structure.

The North America Business Area (BA NA) utilizes the Electrolux Manufacturing System program in pursuit of operational and commercial excellence. In our fast changing environment there are significant opportunities to further apply and enhance use of EMS to deliver outstanding consumer experiences.

This position will utilize EMS / CI principles, process, and indicators to identify, plan, and support execution of targeted improvement initiatives within commercial areas of BA NA. 

The role will work with cross-functional teams including Product Lines, R&D, Engineering, Industrial Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Transportation & Warehousing, Warranty and Finance to simplify, standardize and improve business processes.

The position will also work cross functionally to facilitate the Achieving Cost Excellence (ACE) Program which provides a foundation for annual Business Area cost improvement goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, promote, and facilitate the implementation of CI / EMS within commercial areas so that it becomes a "part of the culture" at Electrolux.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives, business plan deployment and goal & objective creation to ensure high impact opportunities for lean process are identified.
  • Develop, and play a hands-on execution role in the EMS / CI plan, ensuring robust sustainable lean processes. Own the execution (impact, timeline and dependencies) and sustainability of project results.
  • Improve baseline performance relative to cost, quality, cycle-time and customer satisfaction by delivering business results.
  • Drive the education & development of skills, competencies, and effectiveness among key project stakeholders
  • Drive Standardization and continuous improvement of the EMS/ CI principles, tools and practices.
  • Identify automation opportunities and implement solutions to realize demonstrable efficiency gains in relevant transactional operations.
  • Facilitate the ACE Program by serving as a key link between the cross-functional teams. This includes supporting various projects, data mapping, systematic reporting, new system implementations, process changes, dashboard and predictive analysis development.
  • Develop and define methodology for measurement of ACE ideas and the resulting savings with ability to establish clear KPIs.
  • Direct and assist in the weekly, monthly and quarterly ACE reporting requirements. This includes forecasts and management reporting. Collaborate with functional areas to develop and maintain performance metrics, measurements, methods and targets.

Minimum Qualification

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree required; Engineering degree preferred
  • Master degree preferred
  • Lean Experience required; Certification Preferred. 
  • 4 years of experience leading lean/continuous improvement implementations
  • Well versed in modern tools and methodologies of process improvement

  • Strategic prioritization: able to identify and prioritize key process improvement opportunities in line with needs using financial and non-financial metrics.
  • Ability to set improvement goals to impact area needs.
  • Analytical problem solving: able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data.
  • Analysis of ‘as-is’ state, ‘to-be’ state, gap analysis, prioritized waste and development appropriate CI countermeasures to deliver improved performance. Clear understanding of principles that guide tool selection.
