Contract Manager

Electrolux Purchasing is responsible for sourcing direct and indirect materials and services across the entire Group. More than 75% of the Group’s product costs are handled by Purchasing. Its vision is to be a world-class organization that continuously contributes to the Group's strong drive for innovative products and service solutions. It focuses on functional excellence, strong collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, and leveraging global size to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership for materials and services purchased. We are now looking for a Contract Manager to join the team.

For us going to work everyday has an even greater purpose than putting the latest product or technology on the market. It’s about improving the everyday lives of millions. By staying humble and open for new ideas – we can push the boundaries for cooking, cleaning and wellbeing at home. But to keep doing so, we need more people who want to innovate and re-imagine what life at home can be.

As Contract Manager, you will collect information about ocean freight transport requirements from all Electrolux entities. You will establish, maintain and develop relationships with carriers and freight forwarders. You will tender/negotiate/manage agreements for freight and related services. You will manage space allocation, procurement and other operational issues, while maintaining and develop tender system and other information tools. You will proactively drive efforts for constant process improvements and cost savings in logistics flows related to container transportation.

A Self Starter. With lots of initiative, you always have something to do and thrive on being productive.
Creative. You are open minded about where ideas come from and how they can be applied to enable innovation.
Analytical. With an eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data, you can also translate this into meaningful, useful information that informs decision-making.
Agile. You work with urgency, analysing and adapting to different situations, quickly understanding changes and reacting confidently and decisively
Influential. You get to know your stuff and can articulate it well, building a case that is sound and people can buy into.
Flexible. You can manage changing priorities with ease.

In-depth knowledge of container shipping business (minimum 4 years’ experience).
Preferably shipping line or freight forwarding experience.
Basic financial understanding.
Familiar with use of IT tools.
Ability to coach new team members and colleagues with less knowledge about container shipping.
English at high level, both spoken and written, is essential.
