KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with Automated Manufacturing machines in 3 or more of the following areas:
  1. Automated Conveying systems
  2. Mechanical Punch-Press control systems
  3. Hydraulic Presses and control systems
  4. Finishing: Powder Paint, Enamel Powder, or wet spray systems
  5. Automated Fabrication equipment – welding, forming, fabrication
  6. Robotic Assembly, Welding, or Paint systems (Fanuc or Kuka are a plus)
  7. Automatic distribution systems
  8. Packaging systems/ Barcode systems

  • Machine controls troubleshooting or programming
  1. Allen-Bradley SLC 500, Studio 5000
  2. Allen-Bradley Panelview Plus 6 or Plus 7
  3. FactoryTalk View software
  4. Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7
  5. Siemens WinCC HMI software
  6. Motion or Servo-motor systems controls
  7. Safety Controller System: SICK, Banner, Euchner
  8. Studio 5000 Sequential Function Chart, Function Block Diagram, and Structure Text
  9. Machine network controllers and switches.

  • Networking and communication protocol setup and diagnostics
  1. Ethernet I/P
  2. Profinet
  3. Profibus
  4. Serial RS232 & 422
  5. Safety system communication
  • Special Skills
  1. Multi-meter use mastery for electrical diagnosis
  2. Understanding of Analog Signals
  3. Advanced Windows operations
  4. Electrical hand tools usage and safety
  5. AutoCAD or Solidworks proficiency

 

Minimum Qualification

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Mechatronics or Electro-Mechanical Associates Degree from an accredited university
  • 4 years + experience in an automated manufacturing environment
  • Alternate: 10 yrs. of verifiable experience as a Controls Technician or PLC Specialist.
