WHO YOU ARE

Sitting within the Global Operations function, Global Sourcing Operations (GSO) is an organization

managing the Sourcing, Project Management, Quality and Supply Chain for a broad scope of

Sourced OEM Products including but not limited to Home Comfort, Food Preparation, Food

Preservation, Wine Appliances, Fabric Care, Dish Care, Water Care, Floor Care and Small Domestics

Appliances for the Asia Pacific, Middle East Africa, Europe, North America and Latin America

regions.

 

Within the GSO structure there is an opportunity for the position of Data Analyst in the Business

Controlling team. The candidate is responsible for the in-house tailor made database management

and reporting and to liaise with the related teams in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports.

The candidate should be supporting the Business Controlling team and administrative tasks as

required by the Business Controller and Management team.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY

Overall support and administration:

• Collect, consolidate and update data in Item Master, ODMS system support and migration

and other related systems as required

• Problem solve, further develop/improve and deliver all related training including preparing

training materials of ODMS to users

• Continuously identify opportunities and development areas in the scope of Business

Controlling to ensure GSO’s operational excellence

• Be the driver of continuous development and improvement of the Item Master and reporting

tools for Business Controlling

• Actively engage with internal & external key stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, address

business needs and deliver optimal service

• Generate periodic or ad-hoc, analysis/reports as needed and assist with any ad hoc

projects/initiatives from time to time as assigned

• Provide support on alignment of cross-PL sourcing reports and coordinating meetings

(Including support in the creation of the monthly PL sourcing report)

• Prepare and develop Business Trackers, business/operational reports involving data

analysis, Excel and internal databases

• Ensure data integrity, quality and adherence to deadlines including contracts and payment

terms along with continuous collaboration among cross functions and cross PLs.

• Follow up with the sourcing team on various items including contracts, penalty tracking

• Actively support to prepare and participate in Sourcing team meetings and supplier

meetings (e.g. quarterly supplier business reviews)

• Create and maintain an infrastructure that allows easy sharing of information on sourced

products catelogs, supplier profiles, cost models, Raw Materials, Global economical

movements (esp on ASEAN country members) etc

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• 3 years of experience in related field Data Analysis

• Degree or Diploma in Business or Statistics or Mathematics or Information technology

• Experience in managing multiple projects and support functions

• Strong experience in Excel, BI, and PowerPoint. Access and other IT Tools preferred,

knowledge of Cognos or VBA Script Development is a plus

• Available for emails and calls outside of usual working hours according to business needs

• Candidate with less experience will be titled as Junior Data Analyst

Required languages:

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese

• Any other language is an advantage
