Location: role is open for different locations

 
The role is expected to:
Be a database administrator to manage and administer Oracle & Db2 databases across different platform (AIX/Linux and Windows)

The position requires to stays abreast of new and emerging technologies, provides advice as to whether and/or when such technologies should be adopted by the organization, plans the adoption of assorted technologies, and ensures the proper integration of new technologies into existing systems and procedures.

The role is essential for the modernization of the data center services provided across Electrolux, aligning the delivery with other Data centers residing in various Business areas.   


Key operational responsibilities 

As highly appreciated Database Administrator you are expected be accountable for:

•Provide support and technical consultancy on Database servers
•Plan and coordinate the installation, customization and updating of related database software components on the database servers 
•Work together with application team and assist projects in planning of new database server systems and application implementation to satisfy business requirements.
•Assist in system sizing and hardware selection for shared environment and standalone servers for database Systems
•Install and configure database server on the preconfigured operating system standalone or on clusters
•Test and install database server service packs and fixes as needed and planned
•Create database maintenance plans and jobs
•Manage DB replication, triggers, indexes, keys and stored procedures
•Configure data exchange with other systems
•Monitor database server performance
•Monitor database and transaction log growth
•Collect performance traces and log analysis for system trouble shooting
•Protect Electrolux database server systems against security threats (viruses, worms, etc)
•Protect Electrolux database server systems against unauthorized access and data loss
•Manage Database storage and restoration
•Ensure to be complaint with Electrolux Control System (ECS)
•participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation


Required Competencies 

The candidate is expected to hold a university degree in IT and have at least 3+ years in Database Administration previous plus 2+years’ experience working in MS Azure and/or AWS in managing Database Services in a hybrid cloud environment 

From you as a person we expect to actively be involved in following areas, including but not limited to:
•Knowledge of Oracle database systems and basic knowledge on other DB systems preferred on IBM DB2
•High knowledge of Oracle Real Application Cluster (RAC)
•Problem Solving
•Planning and Organizing
•Data Gathering and Analysis
•Ideally Oracle DB certified professional or master
•Experience in supporting large shared Database systems environment.
•Up-to-date skill in the area of Oracle DB systems and related applications like OTM, eBusiness Suite solutions
•Operating system knowledge in windows Server, Linux / AIX
•Advantage on cloud skill on (eg. MS Azure, AWS, Oracle)
•Experience in working with interfaces of different platforms
•Experience in MS Windows infrastructure will be an added advantage
•Good analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot systems and incidents, organization skills to balance and prioritize work
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to travel for training, conferences or business locations, participate in an 24×7 on-call rotation

Required Languages
Fluent in English and Local Language
Able to work and communicate with the business team in local language.
