As Director Manufacturing Engineering Technology & Architecture (m/f/d) you are the main partner to R&D leading Manufacturing Engineering activities related to new products in the earliest stages of development. Your mission is to drive towards global standards for module architecture and manufacturing technologies. You will report to the Senior Director Manufacturing Engineering and lead a team of 8 engineers and specialists.

A regular day at work

• Functional leader for Manufacturing Core Technologies like Cavity Fabrication, Testing & Programming, Assembly, Adhesives and Enameling
• Develop Manufacturing Engineering Core Technology strategy according to Product Line Generation Plans
• Responsible to provide inputs to R&D in order to apply the concepts of Design for Assembly, Design For Manufacturing, Design For Automated Assembly and Modularity until Industrialization start
• Partner with BA Manufacturing Engineering for New Product Introduction
• Partner to R&D Product Architecture and Technology
• Lead pre-studies for Food Preparation projects regarding new architectures, new modules, and new technologies
• Develop Core Technologies improvements and best practices in alignment with reference teams around the world
• Set technology roadmap in coordination with global colleagues and collaborate in defining global standards
• Drive benchmarking within Electrolux and Competitors

Education and Experience

• Engineering University Degree (Bachelor or Master, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Business Engineer)
• Min. 7 years of experience in manufacturing industry within factory, plant environment 
• At least 2 years of leading a team
• Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management Process 
• Knowledge of Core Technologies and digital tools 
• Basic knowledge of IT Infrastructure
• Business fluent English skills, Good German skills
