Electrolux Global Manufacturing Engineering Food Preservation is looking for a
Director Technology & Architecture who will be based in Susegana, Italy or Rothenburg o.d.T, Germany.

As Director Technology & Architecture you are the main partner to R&D leading Manufacturing Engineering activities related to new products in the earliest stages of development. Your mission is to drive towards global standards for module architecture and manufacturing technologies. 
You will report to Sr. Director GME Food Preservation and lead a team of 6-10 engineers and specialists.


•Partner to R&D Product Architecture and Technology
•Partner to Global Purchasing to component supply strategy
•Lead pre-studies for Food Preservation projects regarding new architectures, new modules and new technologies
•Drive Technical Opportunity Assessments for Manufacturing Engineering
•Functional leader for core technologies like Cabinet and Door fabrication, thermoforming and foaming, assembly and adhesive.
•Responsible to provide inputs to R&D in order to apply the concepts of Design For Assembly, Design For Manufacturing, Design For Automated Assembly and Modularity until Industrialization start
•Develop Manufacturing Engineering strategy according to Product Line Generation Plans
•Work with Lean Engineering during the development of new products to create first draft of labor map
•Develop Core Technologies improvements and best practices in alignment with reference teams around the world
•Set technology roadmap in coordination with global colleagues and collaborate in defining global standards
•Identify roadmap for defects detectability within the manufacturing process in cooperation with the Quality teams
•Drive benchmarking within Electrolux and competitors

•Engineering University Degree (Bachelor or Master, Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Business Engineer)
•Min. 10 years of experience in manufacturing industry within factory, plant environment 
•At least 4 years of leading a team
•Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management Process 
•Knowledge of Core Technologies and digital tools 
•Basic knowledge of IT Infrastructure
•Business fluent English skills, German is a plus
