Electronic EMC Development Engineer

In Electrolux Forlì is located the Global R&D Food Preparation and in this role, you will work closely with colleagues from all over the world. On a daily basis, you will:
• ensure that electronic subsystems and related appliances are immune to electromagnetic disturbances and to limit emission, with a focus on quality and user experience.
• ensure compliance of appliances with internal and external EMC and Safety (IEC 60335, UL60730, …) standards
• be responsible to design, develop, test and maintain EMC troubleshooting toolkit for cooking appliances
• promote the standard and systematic approach to EMC troubleshooting

You will
• Build, test, analyse, and troubleshoot prototype electronic circuits, parts (including electronic controls), and appliances to research and develop product features/functions.
• Manage the operation of the EMC instruments
• Be able to diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults, followed by appropriate corrective action to address product emissions and immunity issues.
• Participate in Hardware review sessions
• Execute EMC test plans 
• Maintain EMC laboratory instruments calibration and lab certification
• Create Test Reports according to the approved workflow
• Coordinate ordering and tracking of incoming components.
• Perform design/development experiments that may require non-standard procedures and complex instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, ESD, EFT, RIV, REF) when required.
• Support electronics team as needed with assignments targeted to SCR, FTQ, and other quality initiatives.
• Create design guidelines to document best practice in electronic design for best EMC performance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
We are not looking for perfection and the only let’s say a non-negotiable point is a background on electronics – rather than that, you’re invited to challenge us. Below are skills and competencies, we'd ideally want you to have or be open to learn
Master degree in Electronics Engineering or related is preferred
Basic knowledge of external/internal standards/specifications for Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) of home appliances
Passion for EMC and EMC instruments
Electronic design
Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical and electronic schematics required.
Fluency in English.
