SUMMARY: 

The Financial Business Analyst I role has overall responsibility and accountability for working with various members of the Sales Organization to help understand and communicate the financial position of their assigned channel. The Financial Business Analyst I position is the critical link between the sales, sales operations and product line groups and provides valuable insight on a daily basis to the financial performance through its analysis and reporting.  The Financial Business Analyst I position will report in through the Commercial Finance group but take day-to-day direction from the assigned Sales Leader(s).  Additionally, the analyst will funnel information through the finance organization to the Sales organizations, ensuring one consistent approach/method is used across the Business Area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Responsible for monthly forecast of Revenue and Profitability metrics.Provide weekly updates to current forecast identifying actionable insight to drive business decisions.
  • Responsible for creating various types of Month End analytics and providing to Commercial Finance Supervisor to assist in the Monthly Financial Close
  • Responsible for updating and analyzing Actuals at Month End for various Channels
  • Responsible for management of channel rebate programs including contractual and non-contractual spend
  • Assist with various ad hoc analysis including customer profitability and trend analysis

Minimum Qualification

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business related field
  • 1-3 years of business or financial analytics experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience supporting a sales function a plus
  • Financial analysis experience
  • Sales trend analysis preferred
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Highly motivated / Driven / Proactive approach to business needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adjust/react quickly to changes and changing priorities
  • Operates with the highest level of integrity
  • Builds trust and follows through on commitments and deadlines
  • Effectively communicates verbally and in writing
  • Utilizes critical thinking in problem solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SAP preferred
