In Porcia R&D facility is located the Global Fabric and Dish care Electronic Development team which is part of the Global Electronic Organization (GEO) area. All electronic controls for our appliances are developed and maintained from the beginning to the end of life, while the qualification testing can be performed both in Electrolux facilities and in external laboratories.
As Firmware Development Engineer, you will develop and maintain FW electronic platforms for Fabric and Dish appliances, in an international work environment. You will work closely with colleagues from all over the world, understanding different realities, cultures and people, as well as being part of an open-minded team, where creativity and innovation are welcome.
The Electronic Development team is in charge to develop and maintain the hardware and the software of the electronic boards for our appliances.
You will be responsible, inside an international project team, for the design, implementation and testing of the FW of electronic boards inside the appliances
• Development in “C” language of the SW following company guidelines and procedures
• Testing and debug on the appliance
• Prepare technical documentation following team guidelines
• Observe electronic market, new technologies and components secure HW - SW interaction
• Support innovation roadmap of the SW
• Board testing plan/procedures
• Safety/Testing/Approval plan definition with other teams
• SW technical documentation for board production
• Prototypes (Boards) management
• Developing test procedures
• Bachelor or master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent field of study.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in SW development, embedded systems, applications in consumer electronics.
• Good knowledge of “C” programming language
• Experience in development on ARM M0, M4 or similar embedded systems
• Experience of techniques for communicating between hardware and software
• Knowledge of embedded multi-processor systems and inter-processor communication techniques like I2C, SPI, UART
• Excellent spoken and written English language.
