Insulation and Simulation Engineer – Susegana, Italy
In our Technology CX Food Preservation R&D team we are on the road to redefine the future of refrigeration. For the Insulation & Core Processes Tech Domain, we are looking for an Insulation and Simulation engineer, who would build progressively a technical ownership on Vacuum Insulation Panels technology and process simulations for PU chemical foaming, vacuum thermoforming and injection molding.
This is a cross functional position where you will be cooperating with: Advanced R&D, GTO, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Laboratory, Model Workshop, Thermodynamic Laboratory, Quality Assurance, and Global Purchasing as well as with External Laboratories and Universities worldwide with the possibilities of creating a new set of competences for insulation and plastic material processes
A regular day at work:
•To follow all the approval steps for new suppliers or new technologies for Vacuum Insulation Panels, including laboratory testing, calculations, and project management activities
•To develop methodologies and perform process simulations according to project/activities plan and providing reports
•Development of testing manual, simulation manual, design guidelines
•Closely interact with all R&D functions to ensure a seamless delivery of projects
•Minimize trial and error activities and costs, and improve the “right first time” RFT result in prototype generation

The position requires:
•Materials Engineering Degree. Relevant experience in white goods or automotive industry is a plus
•Structured engineering approach during all project phases; with an integrated multi-physics view
•Basic background on numerical process simulations for plastic materials (injection molding), FEA simulations and laboratory materials characterization
•Basic background on PU chemistry and plastic materials transformation technologies (injection molding, extrusion and vacuum forming)
•Fluent English (mandatory)
