The Electrolux Global Engineer Program (GEP) is a proactive initiative that brings together young engineering talent across various functions and global offices of Electrolux. This program is for you, who are interested in a global, hands-on experience in an intercultural setting with the goal of securing global employment opportunities within the company upon a successful completion of the internship.

The candidate will join the Global Manufacturing Engineering team and working for Electrolux Food Preparation.
The core technologies engineer will working with Supplier, R&D and Factories for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes, equipment and methods in cavity fabrication. Cavity fabrication include manufacturing process for sheet metal stamping, welding and customization. 
Objective of this Activity will be:

-Support in implementation projects of new production equipment
-Review and development of existing standards and specifications


To contribute to the team goals, you will:

•Participation in international project meetings with Supplier, Factory and R&D
•Maintain and develop global specifications for cavity fabrication equipment and processes
•Research, validate and recommend manufacturing concepts for cavity fabrication based on different automation level 
•Compare energy consumption for different welding technologies for cavity welding 
•Working with local and sector ME, support process FMEA
•Work with Factory, Sector ME and production personal to lower DL and DM cost and improve quality outcomes
•Support for Maintenance with Global TPM for cavity fabrication
•Support for quality in NRFT and SCR regarding cavity fabrication
•Co-operate with R&D in manufacturing process changes for new products
•Co-operate with R&D to define Core Technology / Road Map
•Working with Green Spirit Team to improve energy and waste
•Supporting the organizations and departments for Industry 4.0 in area of automatization / digitalization

You are a bachelor or graduating student or recent graduate of a master in Industrial engineering, Mechanical engineering, or Material engineering
You have advanced English skills, and preferably, beginner Portuguese and/or intermediate German.

You have experience or exhibit skills on the following: 
•Knowledge of sheet metal stamping (preferred – including simulation basics) 
•Knowledge in welding technologies (resistance/laser welding)
•Knowledge in FMEA methods
•Corel Draw
•Visual Basic
•Good analytical, methodical and problem solving skills
•Good presentation skills
•Able to travel internationally
•Ability to work in a Matrix Organization and virtual Teams
•Word, PowerPoint, Excel and 3D, 2D CAD (preferred NX) skills


•Learning experience within 12 months
•Gross salary of 1.533 euros monthly
