We are currently looking for a Global Industrial Operations Digital Director, able to lead the ongoing digital transformation in the Global Industrial Operations (GIO) arena, that includes: 

• Manufacturing
• Safety and Lean 
• Industrial engineering 
• Sustainability
• Supply chain 

Located in one of the EMA site worldwide, you will have high visibility and will report to the SVP GIO. 
You will lead a team of approximately 20 people based in our 4 Business Areas (BAs) and will focus on current running project, like MES and at the same time scout for new digital solution to be applied in our industrial eco-system. 
A continue dialogue with the BA different needs has to be carried on interfacing the BA COO/leaders. 

Talk and cooperation with the IT partner is another fundamental point of the role in our journey to the adoption of standard best solution. Digital activities are ongoing and need to be executed in order to achieve the following strategic GIO priorities:

• Liberate productivity
• Improve our service level to our customer 
• Improve timing of our investment in product and process 
• Make available in automatic way all the KPI needed to take decision
• Execute modularization approach
• Further improve our quality level 
• Reduce water, energy consumption, CO2 emissions


• Define and develop a Digital Vision sustaining the GIO strategic development priorities
• Lead the current MES project that foresee the installation of the system in all our factories for the next 5 years (full stack of MES+LES with equipment connectivity and edge computing) 
• Lead the use of standard digital systems and solutions in all our 35 factories
• Standardize and harmonize the full stack of solutions from Lev1 (equipment PLC) to Lev4 (ERP integration)
• Drive the OPEN INNOVATION activities in cooperation with other functions to scout for new innovative solution engaging Startups, SMEs and other Corporates 
• Drive in cooperation with other functions our running BOOSTER program where we are accelerating projects with Startups in our industrial ecosystem 
• Drive the activity of the INNOVATION FACTORY center based in Italy ( for more details) 
• Lead the development and use of APPS and “ready-now” solution dedicated to the industrial population  
• Capture local Business areas needs and find a solution 
• Drive the Manufacturing Process Intelligence report implementation to get all the KPIs in automatic way and std format
• Drive together with other function the activities needed for a complete end to end supply chain visibility that is our ultimate goal 
• Leveraging the communication team, ensuring the right messaging and media/tool to convey both internally and externally what we are doing in an effective way 
• Being active part of external ecosystems (eg. Communities, roudtables, digital co-working environments, …) to be always up to date and relevant for external parties (eg. helping developing frameworks, running pilots and POCs,...)

Working in the GIO Leadership Team will be a stimulating challenge and you should like to work in a team and collaborate with colleagues across different functions and cultures. 
With a strong drive, you can prove that you have delivered in challenging environments in previous positions.

The ideal candidate should have: 

• Master Degree in Engineering or Operations management/Business (preferred) 
• Experience in remote management & virtual collaboration 
• Almost 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility or supply chain in complex/multisite organization
• Leading transformations Digital projects in the previous experiences (eg. multiyear, million(s) dollar budget, …)   
• Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain management systems 
• Experience with and commitment to lean manufacturing and supply chain concepts 
• Change manager 
• A passion for connecting data and making business conclusions and recommendations 
• Multicultural experience 
• Ability to work independently and produce results 
• English is mandatory, any other language is a plus
