GME Food Preservation Automation Specialist

Group Manufacturing Engineering - Food Preservation Organization is looking for a motivated Automation Specialist, to join our global team and be part of our company transformation. 
Food Preservation is the Group’s largest global product category, and it is crucial for the Group’s profitable growth ambition. This category is executing multiple key transformation programs that will deliver world-class product architectures to offer consumer relevant and differentiated benefits within the areas of Taste (freshness), accessibility, and sustainability (healthy taste and food waste).

Within Global Operations, the Group Leverage execution requires strong leadership for architecture, technologies and components, roadmaps and management in collaboration with Purchasing and R&D. This will lead to new levels of productivity, quality and performance.

A REGULAR DAY AT WORK

Based in Italy (Susegana) or in Germany (Rothenburg), you will directly report to the Automation & Simulation Manager Group Manufacturing Engineering Food Preservation. While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to use hands on to perform engineering functions around automation manufacturing equipment and process.
You will be in charge to plan, design, develop, automate, justify, maintain and implement manufacturing process and equipment within the GME Food Preservation team.

Main responsibilities:

• Development new equipment and Automated Process  
• Automation Projects Management
• Development new technologies and suppliers
• Cost justification and accountability
• Process and equipment, procurement and implementation
• Train and assist equipment operators, maintenance technicians in areas of responsibility
• Troubleshoot and analyze process and equipment performance for improved quality, uptime and OEE
• Automate existing manufacturing equipment
• Safety

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Required BS degree in Mechanical, Electronics Automation or Mechatronics Engineering
• Hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical experience are desirable
• Project Management, Automation or Manufacturing Management Specialization 
• Strong knowledge in Manufacturing Automation and multicultural experience correlated
• Previous experience developing strategic direction and leading/implementing automation projects
• A passion for connecting data and making business conclusions and recommendations
• Lean manufacturing background
• Knowledge of manufacturing labor maps
