Business Unit - HROD
Reports To– HR & Administration Manager Japan
Provides a comprehensive HR service to management and employees: assists in the
development and implementation of change management programs. Leads the process and
providing service in some or all of the HR functional areas: talent acquisition, performance
management and development processes, monitors HR metrics and initiates improvement
actions, makes sure employee records are kept up to date, undertakes HR&GA projects, etc.
Ensure and maintains safety, healthy, effective work and office environment for employees.
A Typical Day
Talent Aquisition–Work with hiring manager to develop ideal candidate criteria,
collaborate with private headhunters and peruse job boards to find employees, attract
qualified employees and match them to jobs, coordinate relocation.
Responsible for new hire onboarding. This includes ensuring pre-employment screenings
are complete, making badges, ensuring candidates are fully on-boarded in HRIS systems,
scheduling new hire orientations, and conducting portions of the new hire orientation
Training and Development–Organize and conduct new employee orientation, provide
ongoing education for staff, determine what training is necessary, design materials and
workshops for presentations.
Job Analysis–Identify and document job duties and requirements and their relative
importance, use data to develop training materials and methods, determine compensation,
develop job titles and descriptions and application materials. Regular update and
maintenance of job descriptions
Wellbeing (Benefits and Compensation)–Ensure benefits fit the needs of employees,
design performance reviews.
Leading local engagement and wellbeing initiatives
Driving internal communication on people-related matters incl. translations of some Global/
Office Management–Provide customer service to employees on a variety of issues to
maintains safety, healthy, effective work and office environment for employees including
but not limited to contacting management office of the office building, timekeeping,
benefits, and company policies and procedures
Who You Are
• Bachelor or Master Degree
• At least 5 years work experience in HR area, preferably in recruitment, training or as generalist
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Very good English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and pro-actively manage own tasks
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and react flexibly to changes
• Strong problem solving skills and interpersonal skills
• A true team player
• Interest in business and growing within international company
