Industrial Engineering Technician (2nd shift, 2pm- 12:30 am) SPRINGFIELD
Monitor and lead improvements for all processes within (but not limited to) the outbound shipping/loading/warehousing process. Must support overall efforts to improve safety, improve quality, reduce downtime, improve delivery, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Must lead by example in attendance and effectively communicate with employees at all levels (within and outside the department).
Monitor and lead improvements in outbound shipping/loading/warehousing process.
Monitor and lead improvements for the Springfield/Nashville trailer shuttle system (emphasizing improved efficiency/reduced costs).
Monitor and lead improvements in trailer planning and equipment productivity.
Monitor and lead improvements in inbound/outbound trailer staging yard.
Monitor and lead improvements in equipment rental/lease/repair. Coordinate all spending/requisitions/investments for the same.
Assist with damage reduction projects.
Ensure all safety goals are achieved.
Ensure all customer delivery requirements are met.
Ensure all environmental objectives are met.
Cross-train in other staff positions within the department to assist with absenteeism/vacation, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND BASIC SKILLS:
Four-year Industrial Engineering degree (equivalent degrees
will be considered)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (with emphasis in Excel)
Communicate clearly and concisely in English both verbally and in writing.
