The Operational Technology (OT) Technical Leader is a leadership role that requires an individual with a strong technical background, as well as an ability to work with the IT organization, manufacturing engineering and operations management to align priorities and plans with key business objectives. This position is responsible to lead all IT/OT activities to ensure the maximum uptime of the Peregrine shop floor via a team of IT technicians.  This role is also responsible for the implementation of OT security strategy required in manufacturing areas.


  • Responsible to guarantee high availability for Manufacturing Systems.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of all applications supporting the shop floor including MES, interfaces and label printing.  Maintain detailed documentation of each application and interface including expected behavior between MES and PLC interactions.
  • Lead the IT technicians providing a 24/7 schema support and reaching the SLA metrics for Severity 1 and 2 incidents.
  • Lead Efforts in Establishing an OT environment within the factory Operations.
  • Assist in defining the factory OT network design in alignment with corporate standard.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining an inventory of the OT assets in the factory environment.
  • Ensure information security requirements are considered/aligned during procurement and deployment of OT assets.
  • Support, Secure, Enhance and Champion OT Environment within Factory Environment.
  • Participate in OT device connectivity “incident management” and triage activities.
  • Approve requests for access/connectivity to equipment in OT Environment.
  • Approve add/remove/change requests to OT firewall configurations.
  • Assist with new equipment deployments to OT networks.
  • Approve OT communication changes (eg. firewall rules).
  • Act as Information security authority for the site OT environment.
  • Drive/perform periodic OT network access reviews – analyze data from network traffic logs and create action plans to limit risk.
  • Investigate technology-related security issues related to OT equipment, factory teams, and external parties.
  • Coordinate OT security initiatives with factory management and IT.
  • Perform OT security risk assessments including factory self-assessments.
  • Implement controls to monitor, measure compliance, and increase the maturity of controls for OT systems.
  • Partner with IT to implement new security infrastructure and access control solutions for the OT networks.
  • Facilitate build, deployment, and support for current and future manufacturing system applications.
  • Guarantee alignment with rules, standards and user guidelines stated in the OTSF (Operational Technology Security Framework).
  • Conduct communications with factory management, translating technical requirements into business terms.
  • Conduct OT security related training for the Factory personnel.
  • Manage vendor and contract relationships pertaining to the OT Team, ensuring the company receives maximum benefit and value.

Minimum Qualification


           Bachelor’s degree preferred  in Engineering (Industrial, Mechatronic, Electromechanical)
           or Information Technology.

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment connectivity or similar position.
  • Experience in manufacturing factory environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Operational Technology (OT) components such as PLCs,
    MES, interfaces, etc.
  • Experience in managing deployment of cybersecurity (desirable).
  • Solid knowledge about Operational Technology (OT) environment within Factory Operations.
  • Deep understanding of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, in particular OS, Network devices, Firewalls.
  • Good knowledge and experience in IT/OT Cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead manufacturing systems support teams.
  • Experience in process definition, workflow design, and/or process mapping documentation.
  • Good knowledge of industrial engineering, manufacturing, and lean process.
  • Basic Knowledge of industrial printers, barcode and RFID readers, PLCs, HMIs, etc.
  • Passion for innovation and digitalization; creative, curious, and problem solver.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross functional partnerships to make effective decisions.
  • Ability to communicate problems and solutions both verbally and in writing to customers and management.
