Kinston Engineering UL Technician
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct Underwriters Laboratory (U.L.) and Department of Energy
testing, using electronic equipment that records voltage, amperage, torque,
water pressure, tensile strength, temperature extremes, watts and hertz.
Ability to follow procedures and standards precisely to assure compliance with
predetermined acceptable standards and /or government regulations. Other duties are development laboratory
testing using standard electronic lab test equipment, test report and
summaries; utilize good communication skills and laboratory practices to
maintain a safe working environment. Other duties as assigned by Manager of
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Associate degree in technical field.
Two or more years experience in the electronic circuit testing or seven years of related testing experience.
Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to inspect and measure precise/fine products and prototypes.
Familiarity with Lab View data acquisition and analysis software.
Working knowledge of MS office products and database skills: Excel, Word, Power Point and Access.
Ability to work independently or as a part of an engineering and technician team.
Skills such as blueprint reading, machining, electrical wiring and data acquisition experience
