SUMMARY

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our laboratory organization.
The exciting thing about this role, besides the development the future Food Preservation appliances, is the possibility to be a part of the creation of a new set of competence and assets in the advanced mechanical development techniques.

As a structural specialist, you will work closely with colleagues from all over the world, get to understand different realities, cultures and people, as well as being part of an open-minded team, where creativity is welcome and innovation applied to product development and methodology is the key mission.
You will closely interact with our Global Connectivity and Technology Center and universities worldwide, and you will be in contact with the best experts on our company having the possibility to acquire knowledge at the stat of the art and beyond in the white good industry

KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES


• To perform Structural simulations according to project/activities plan and providing reports 
• To perform structural testing according to project/activities plan, following Electrolux Internal standards, and providing reports
• To identify key operation activities for every project in term of simulation and calibration test 
• Development of testing manual, simulation manual, design guidelines
• Support the creation, validation and use of simulation models and relative experimental activity
• Define specifications for components and parts in prototype creation and testing execution
• Implement DOE, optimization and statistical analysis tools
• Closely interact with all R&D functions to ensure a seamless delivery of projects
• Minimize trial and error activities and costs, and improve the “right first time” RFT result in prototype generation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Mechanical Engineering Degree (MSc)
• 1 - 3 years’ experience in structural simulation, preferably in white goods or automotive industry

SKILLS

• Structured engineering approach during all project phases; with an integrated multi-physics view
• Good background of FEA tools static, dynamic, linear and non-linear analysis (Abaqus is preferable), 
• Good background in the use of 3D CAD modeling software (CATIA is preferable)  
• Basic background in metals and polymers properties and processing
• Basic background on sensors like strain gauges, accelerometers and load cells and relative data acquisition software
• Knowledge of statistical tools, DOE, optimization and quality tools
• Basic knowledge of laboratory experimental analysis in thermodynamics - cooling circuits characterization 
• Fluent English (mandatory)
