Lead and direct the Refrigeration and Reliability Laboratory teams by evaluating data, controlling inventory, scheduling work orders, planning and resources allocation, maintaining/calibrating equipment, and overall development of the Laboratory team.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct testing and oversee procedures to ensure that the product, as produced, meets Electrolux quality and performance standards
  • Provide workload planning and resources allocation to support generation plan (NDP), cost out, product care, quality and project prioritization
  • Manage the internal and external testing protocol and product test standards and procedures
  • Supervise, motivate and train laboratory team members
  • Develop and document test procedures to meet market demand. 
  • Assist in the development of test plans for new platforms, cost project and quality improvements to existing platforms
  • Maintain performance records and submit official documentation to FTC, DOE, energy star web site and others as needed
  • Manage the maintenance of lab equipment, calibration and supply inventory by using a 5s method or equivalent with a focus on safety of the team members
  • Required to perform special projects for installation of new equipment.  Work with vendors to obtain quotes and schedules for projects
  • Represent laboratory on DVR Board
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and three or more years of related experience; or 5+ years of related management experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience leading, developing and directing team members
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret test data, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Proficient with computer and PC software such as spreadsheets (Microsoft excel), word processing (Microsoft Word), graphics, and presentations (Microsoft Power point)

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees 
  • Team oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills with a focus on continuous improvement
