The APAC – MEA legal team is one of five legal departments in Electrolux and part of Group Legal Affairs. This role will be based in the Singapore office and reporting directly to SVP/ General Counsel APAC – MEA. You will support the business leaders across the various sectors in enabling profitable growth, whilst at the same time advising on, and managing, organizational risks.
Key operational responsibilities
An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Legal Counsel/ Senior Group Legal Counsel role within the Electrolux APAC- MEA legal team. In this role you will experience a stimulating and challenging work environment. You will act as a professional legal advisor, trusted governance counsellor and reliable business partner. You will provide legal support to Electrolux’s businesses throughout the region (excluding China, Middle East - Africa, Australia and New Zealand). You will be expected to provide practical and solutions-oriented legal advice on general areas of corporate law, commercial law and compliance. These include employment matters, sourcing and procurement, supply chain, consumer protection, leasing, product liability, marketing and advertising claims, dispute resolution, data privacy, anti-bribery and corruption etc.
Your work will be conducted in cooperation with decision-makers and often in collaboration with other legal departments and functions within the Electrolux Group.
You will be working in a fast-paced and ever-changing business and legal environment. Therefore you need to be willing to adapt and also capable of driving change. You enjoy working in an international context and you are willing and able to travel as needed.

The successful candidate would:
-Have good negotiation and drafting skills;
-Have strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with all levels of staff (especially senior management) from different cultures and backgrounds.
-Have sound legal knowledge with at least 8 years of post-admission experience (ideally with both private practice and in-house working experience at multi-national corporations in Singapore)
-Be qualified to practice in Singapore or other common law jurisdictions with high proficiency in English language skills.
-Have strong business acumen with the ability to balance risk and at the same time, effectively support the business.
-Have a high level of maturity, integrity, responsibility.
-Be able to keep calm under pressure, and work within tight time lines.
