Manufacturing Engineering Manager

As member of plan management team you will manage the activity of the Nyíregyháza Refrigerator Plant Manufacturing Engineering Department:  Process Engineering, Lean Engineering (time and method), Facility (maintenance and operation, green spirit, energy consumption, Investments). You will lead team to grow, boosting their talents and process ownership as well as inspire, challenge them and drive for exceptional performance. 


A REGULAR DAY AT WORK
Your focus will be the following:

• Apply safety standards in the area of responsibility
• Long term cost reduction, manufacturing process optimization, capacity utilization, energy consumption and waste
• Drive continuous improvement in conversion cost as measured by variable cost per unit and fixed costs per month
• Drive continuous productivity improvement across operation
• Develop and lead manufacturing engineering activities to improve disruption free performance, overall equipment effectiveness and reduce cycle times
• Cooperate with Global Manufacturing Engineering in new products industrialization activities
• Develop plant operating budgets and capital plans
• Analysis and follow-up of new technologies and equipment; Manage Digitalization and Automation projects
• Analysis, feasibility studies, implementation of new working organization
• Investment Request Creation and capex follow-up
• Plant Layout update
• Site Specification update
• Make or Buy analysis
• Support to reach EMS (Lean system) and Green Spirit KPI
• Introduce and support special projects (fire protection, safety, property audit)
• Take responsibility of Maintenance department ensuring that the relevant activities are properly executed
• Ensure maintenance process approach according to Manufacturing Engineering Sector guidelines
• Develop maintenance organization according to Manufacturing Engineering Sector guidelines

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• University (Msc) degree in Engineering
• Additional degree in Economics is of advantage
• 2-3 years relevant experience in high volume serial production preferably at multinational environment
• Proven experience in leading and coaching a team of 15 managers directly 
• Project management knowledge or experience is an advantage
• Relevant experience in automation implementation projects is advantageous
• Computer literacy
• Fluent English and Hungarian knowledge
