ROLE OBJECTIVES

To drive the implementation of MEP in the Springfield factory

MISSION

To design and optimize material flow in the Plant, compliant to MEP standardization approach of methods and processes.

KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The MEP Specialist will run the following activities:

- Support the local MEP resources in implementing agreed MEP processes and solutions
- Together with NA MEP team develop best practices and also standardize equipment needs
- Analyze Material Flow planning in order to drive standardization and Best Practice activities
- Design and implement effective material flow from goods receiving to deliveries at the production line
- Lead change and continuous improvements in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Ensure that the Factory follows EMS logistics standards in all material handling areas
- Implement, maintain, and enforce standard operating policies and procedures and perform audits as needed
- Ensure ergonomic material presentation line side (interface with Industrial Engineering)
- Support PFEP leader with any packaging designs or changes
- Practice and implement among team members effective problem solving techniques
- Participate as a member of cross-functional teams to improve material flow and design solutions
- Ensure no violations of State and Federal rules and regulations

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES OUTSIDE OF STANDARD JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Local Purchasing organization with questions related to Logistics
• Be part of the design and implementation of advanced logistics concept from supplier to factory (consignment, bonded and 3PL solutions)

Minimum Qualification

COMPETENCES NEEDED (EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES / LANGUAGES)

Education:
- Associates degree in related field or High School Diploma or GED and equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- Bachelors level degree preferred

Technical Skills :
- Solid working knowledge of Bills of Material, Routings, and Effectivity changes.
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Career Experience:
- Minimum of one year experience in leading work teams in a high volume work environment
