The cluster NA Product Manager is in charge of supporting the Kitchen Category Strategy for MEA cluster as well as supporting the Cluster Sales Company in the daily business concerning ranging, costing, product launches, driving initiatives and finding new opportunities from NA sector. Full ownership NA program to create competitive advantage in Kitchen category for MEA region with key focus Refrigeration & Food Preparation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive and Execute MEA PL Strategy for Kitchen along with MEA PL Head, Category Manager & EMEA Sector PL (5 years initiatives) for American source products
  • Development and ownership of generation plans and roadmaps
  • Drive and execute budget product initiatives/ranging to achieve profit target (1-year horizon)
  • Define & Optimize US source range in line with market needs & profitability target
  • Translate consumer insights into winning product concepts.
  • Lead cross-functional (across Design, R&D, Marketing, Sector) to execute using Electrolux strategic sourcing from NA factories
  • Validate the commercial viability of each project and make investment recommendations to EMEA sector
  • Schedule project timelines and follow through on all phases EPM & CP's including cost, quality and time
  • Range management & Product commercialization (Information & System)
  • Ensure successful launch and implementation of new products by coordinating support packages (sales argumentation vs competition, trade presentations, spec sheets, POS messaging) & Leverage US Marketing collaterals
  • Ensure  MEA product compliance with R&D and Compliance team (See compliance duties)
  • Participate in product development projects, New Variants programs to make sure the product compliance will be taken into account and dealt with in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Drive certification projects together with 3rd party test institutes (Intertek, TuV, EQM, SGS etc)
  • Drive and assist local certification together with Category Managers & local sales division team
  • Collect and store approval documents and update them when necessary
  • Issue declarations for new products and update when necessary
  • Assist when 3rd party test institutes will perform factory inspection
  • Evaluate test results and create new solutions and improvements
  • Ensure correct product specifications (packaging labels, IFU…)  in line with export compliance standards
  • Keep track of certification cost and budget responsibility
  • Assist MEA Quality Team on any quality issues through
  • Hands and Eyes support
  • Interactions with US Factories if required
  • Supervise any rework activity required by Quality team
  • To support in providing the necessary compliance reports for the products/spare parts for export documentation

Minimum Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, supply chain, or similar technical degree.
  • Solid experience (minimum 5 years) in marketing in product development (ideally in more than one function)
  • Experience in EPM or similar project management
  • Experience managing direct reports

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge in standards and regulations for household products
  • Knowledge of product safety testing, EMC testing, and ERP testing and similar
  • Knowledge in Certification requirements and understanding of various test reports related to product compliance
  • Experience in IEC, EN, UL and UN standards will be appreciated
  • Proven working experience in projects and product development
  • Creative and pro-active in translating knowledge into proposals for improvements
  • Excellent ability to work in cross-functional and international teams
  • Ability to run several projects in parallel
  • Team player, able to influence and work in a matrix organization
  • Good communicator who builds networks and can leverage resources from different areas to work together towards overall objectives
