We are now looking for an IT Operations and Monitoring Specialist to strengthen our Global Operation Center team. You will manage daily activities and proactive monitoring of enterprise level systems, running on Data Center and Cloud, performing daily or regular operational functions. You will be part of the first line of defense for incident and problem management, ensuring that your specialist knowledge is shared throughout the Team.
This role will work at global level on incoming service requests related to the management of our standard deployments. Working as part of Global Operations and Monitoring team, this role has the competences to deal with customers of our services across the globe.
Working with the Global Solutions stakeholders and within multi-disciplinary teams in executing the Digital Strategy across the globe, this role is expected to work in shifts.
The role will report to the Global Operation Center and Monitoring Manager, will be based in Pordenone.
What you will do:
You will work in a challenging environment, inside the Cloud & Hosting organization, to ensure our digital platforms meet business needs. Demonstrating strong analytical skills and problem-solving techniques you will be in charge to optimize and strengthen delivery and maintenance processes that ensure performance, reliability and security of our digital platform ecosystem.
•Use infrastructure monitoring tools and respond to alerts to continuously improve the stability of our systems.
•Provide 24/7 cloud and on-premises operations and technical support coverage as part of a Global Operations Center team.
•Attempt to provide first-call resolution for all reported issues on a variety of operating systems and eventually escalate to appropriate teams and attend to bridge calls for major incidents.
•Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drafting customer-facing summary of events and preventative measures.
•Drive automation for repetitive tasks to build efficiency and ensure consistent delivery.
•Contact and work with 3rd party vendors and global users.
•Work with specific tools/applications on daily procedures and user requests, participating also on internal IT projects.
•Manage internal and external account requests, in alignment with Company’s policies.
Who you are:
You are dynamic, motivated and showing strong capabilities to work in team. You have strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively both with internal and external (offshore) partners remotely as well as under pressure. You hold a High School Diploma on Information Technology/Computer Science, some college preferred, with 2+ years of experience as a computer operator or system analyst a plus. You work in an operational support role with flexible shifts and schedules including weekends and holidays.
•Automation and Event Management approach.
•Good Knowledge on Data Center and Cloud infrastructure, security and connectivity.
•Good Knowledge of main O.S. (Linux, Windows). Hypervisor Knowledge, 1+ experience is a plus.
•General scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Bash.
•Excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
•Proactive, with flexible approach to delivery. You’re not just solving the tasks; you always think ahead and pro-actively drive change initiatives International. You are used to a global environment with colleagues all over the world.
•Clear communicator. You can easily communicate to different types of audiences and the ability to explain technical aspects in simple terms.
•Autonomous. You thrive when given the freedom to create your own rules and conditions.
•Fluent in English and Local Language.
•Able to work and communicate with the business team in local language.
