Product Care Plant Support Manager

To provide plant level support and leadership to the plant product care engineering team responsible for product quality and cost reduction improvements. This role will manage the product lifecycle through development and implementation of cost reduction solutions and quality improvement initiatives. The Plant Support Manager role in the R&D Product Care team will facilitate the industrialization of new product development.

Key operational responsibilities
Development and implementation of cost out pipeline to meet company’s yearly cost reduction target.
Manage project data base and ensure project implementation on time.
Development and implementation of technical solutions to improve quality performance and consumer reviews of washers, dryers and laundry centers.

Support manufacturing division:
Product industrialization
Represent R&D in all plant forums.
Perform first analysis of line and field rejected parts
Functional test spec definition
Data management of functional test results

Guarantee the cooperation with all R&D departments and the sharing of the best practices and resources
Guarantee the cross functional cooperation

Reporting to
Fabric Care Product Care Manager

Minimum Qualification

Competencies needed
Mechanical or electrical engineering degree.
MBA or equivalent degree in business administration is a plus.
Minimum 3 years work experience managing engineering team.
Demonstrated experience in both product development and manufacturing introduction.
Home appliance product knowledge. Washer and dryer design knowledge is a plus.
Process and result oriented
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong leadership skills. Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating personality.

English, Spanish

Any other language will be a plus
