Today we have a great opportunity in Venice Area (Porcia-Pordenone, 1 hour from Venice) to join the European Product Safety Organisation and have an impact on a core function of Electrolux, globally.

As it happens very often in our company, one of our employees moved internally into another function and took on new responsibilities; therefore, this new exciting role opens up for our next Product Safety Engineer! 

A regular day at work
As a Product Safety Engineer in Electrolux, you will have the great opportunity of getting to know all our products and cooperating with many functions across the entire group.
In your role, you will take care of product safety compliances and incidents with the aim of resolving unidentified issues and implementing safety/quality improvement projects on a European and Global level. Your contribution will massively help the organisation in understanding consumer issues and further improving product safety, installation and documentation compliance issues with the ultimate goal of shaping the development of product safety standards.
You will have a global exposure and will closely cooperate with your colleagues in R&D, Factory Quality teams, as well as in Consumer Care and Legal departments for continuously improving our products. Hence, you will frequently visit other R&D locations in Italy and Germany as well as travel to Poland and Hungary when required. 

Key Operational Responsibilities:
•Investigate issues of returned Alleged Incident Report (AIR) products.
•Develop and conduct new safety tests.
•Provide safety testing, design and product risk assessment in conjunction with Divisional R&D and Product Maintenance teams on new product platforms and product upgrades.
•Generate technical reports on the investigation & evaluation of products and designs.   
•Support European National After-Sales Organisations in respect to local product safety and compliance issues.

Experience/Skills:  
•Technical skills in at least one of the following: electrical/mechanical/fire engineering, materials science or safety sciences.
•Understanding of product compliance and standards frameworks in Europe.
•IT skills, specifically Excel, and any relevant database experience.
•Languages: English essential, plus other European languages to a technical level are an advantage. 

Qualifications:
•University Degree: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Applied Sciences or similar. Support will be provided for further development, Master’s degree, etc.
